History
Initially, IFL was a
company started in 1995 by North American Insurance Company, a
Midwest based stop loss carrier, which owned 50% of IFL, along with
two individuals, including Nigel D. Wallbank, Treasurer. North
American Insurance Company was sold to Oxford Life Insurance Company
in late 1997, and on January 20, 1998, North American sold its 50%
IFL interest, and Robert R. Lehman, North American's former CEO, and
Nigel Wallbank ultimately became equal 50% owners. Thus, IFL is the
successor to and continuation of North American's 15 years of stop
loss experience and the professional personnel. The directors and
